- Follow line set up instructions before attempting to fly
- Unequal lines could mean kite flies badly or won't fly
- Check line lengths regularly as they stretch with use
- On Flexifoil kites, detach bridle from 'croc grips' before launching
- Use 'croc grips' to prevent bridle tangling when stored
- On Flexifoil kites, use the safety system provided
- Make first flights in light to moderate winds, not overpowered
- Fly kite in progressively stronger winds until you find your upper limit
- Launch kite away from centre of wind window if unsure of wind strength
- Check flying site for hazards and potential risks before launching
- Allow space in front of you to move forward as the kite pulls
- Fly safely and respect other people's right to also use the area
